PRIDE IN LONDON 2023

If you would like to join Pride in London this year, you can find out more information HERE.

Latest news at 1st June

Welcome to first timers and return visitors alike! Pride in London on 1st July this year is going to be a really exciting day, and there are several ways you can get involved.

  1. Marching choir

For the first time this year we’re using a vehicle to provide a louder sound system so we can have a marching choir. If you’d like to join in, there are no auditions, just enthusiasm required. You do need to do these things:

  1. If you haven’t already, get a wristband at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/christians-at-pride-in-london-2023-tickets-632901053087

  2. Give us your email address on this google form so we can send you the backing tracks to learn.

  3. Learn them!!!

  4. Find a t-shirt or top in a bright rainbow colour, or buy one of the Christian at Pride t-shirts from our partner: OneBodyOneFaith.

  5. Turn up on 1st July in plenty of time to have a run through at the form up point.

2. March as normal

If singing’s not your thing, feel free to march as normal.

Bring loads of placards and posters with positive and supportive messages.

Book on the same eventbrite link as above.

If you have any accessibility needs, have children under 16 coming with you, or any animals (including support animals), could you also please fill in this google form so that we can make sure you’re all safe and provided for.

3. Show the love from the side

We’ll have a large group at the side of the parade, coordinated by Bonny Downs Baptist Church,  at this location https://maps.app.goo.gl/W71uGTKX1RrVaiPA9

If we have enough, we can cover both sides of the road. The great thing about this option is that everyone marching in the parade will get to see our messaging - so bring the brightest placards. This option is recommended for groups of allies, or those with very small children who may not enjoy the standing around.

Timing

We’re still waiting on the Pride in London team for the march group timings. Watch this space…

The side group will meet from about 11:30, but you can arrive and leave whenever you need to.

4. Pride Services

This year we’re not having a service directly after the parade so that we can support the LGBT Catholic stall, and be with our friends in the community.

Hinde Street Methodist Church is 2 blocks north of Bond Street Tube Station on Oxford Street and is holding a special Pride Service at 11.00am on Sunday 2 July. All are welcome to join us.

MCC are having a Pride service on Sunday 2nd July.

House of Rainbow are having a series of Pride services in the autumn.
